I make sure we have materials available for them. I speak out when I hear others disparage those in the LGBT community. It makes me crazy when others can't understand that ALL people are created equal. Kudos to Peter Marino for providing novels such as this and to you for helping spread the word!Terry Christnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06156090156809674465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339602.post-9591585689288490862010-11-17T13:27:19.446-05:002010-11-17T13:27:19.446-05:00Also, I have liked you on Facebook. :)Also, I have liked you on Facebook. :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14335540932625545115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339602.post-16302915251640862202010-11-17T13:26:49.965-05:002010-11-17T13:26:49.965-05:00I think the recent 'It gets better' projec...I think the recent 'It gets better' project is a great way to help, and so I try to make sure the teens around here know about it. Our school (high school) is celebrating "Mix it Up Day" next week for the first time. To celebrate and embrace and get to know people who are not the same as each of us. They are going to get to sit all mixed up in the cafe, as well as other stuff. We are trying to raise awareness.Annette Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13850197520930988077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339602.post-31089158381314914712010-11-03T20:05:03.979-04:002010-11-03T20:05:03.979-04:00I "liked" your page with facebook!I "liked" your page with facebook!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16181078397178149802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339602.post-75280781569401529652010-11-03T20:04:09.891-04:002010-11-03T20:04:09.891-04:00I also follow your blog!I also follow your blog!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16181078397178149802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339602.post-55539965164213318742010-11-03T20:03:47.539-04:002010-11-03T20:03:47.539-04:00I think that one way I could help the LGBT youth i...I think that one way I could help the LGBT youth is to create an open safe space for them in my (future) library. Schools could also create support groups for LGBT young people and have both gay and straight faculty members advising these groups. I also have an annotated [print] book list of some of the most popular and/or recent LGBT books in our collection so that teens can locate these books without having to tell anyone they are looking -- in case they are too embarrassed to ask for help. I would like to win a copy of this book so that I can add it to that collection. Thanks for hosting this contest, Goddess!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
